The Taghdisi family established Oriental Rug Bazaar in 1980 to give the Houston community every option for fine rugs, carpets and tapestries. Long before opening in Houston, the family worked in the rug industry around the world for generations.
Today, Alan Taghdisi—son of founder Massoud Taghdisi and the seventh generation to carry on the family business—leads Oriental Rug Bazaar. That heritage gives every client access to deeply informed advice: how a rug was made, where it comes from, how it will live in a room and what makes it worth owning.
