Lavar

Kirman was one of the principal weaving cities of Safavid Persia. The region has continued the uninterrupted tradition of weaving until today. Rugs from this area have changed very little over the centuries. The colors are rich and vibrant and the red color tends to be a burgundy red rather than rust. The designs have traditionally been intricate and sophisticated.
