Ferahan
The areas of Ferahan and Seraband produce finely knotted
pieces, comparable both in style and quality to weavings from Senneh. They
usually have a tight allover field pattern of tiny floral motifs, such as the
herati design. Early examples of Ferahan carpets, woven in the early and mid-19th
century are characterized by a distinctive greenish-yellow colour and other
extremely vibrant colors. |
